Abstract

The success of construction projects hinges on many other elements outside the common indicators of time, cost and quality. Cultural factor as an important success factor is therefore enjoying a critical look from all stakeholders in the construction industry across the globe. This paper serves the purpose of examining the dominance, role and contribution of factors of organisational culture (OC) on the successful delivery of construction projects in Nigeria. The research design was that of a quantitative survey approach with a questionnaire used for eliciting responses from 1233 respondents. The feedback from 975 respondents was analysed using Kruskal Wallis Test. The findings show three factors namely; people are permitted to find solutions to the same issues in different ways (Innovative culture); leadership has great regard for individual ability to do things creatively (Supportive culture); the condition of service in this organisation is fair to the staff (Supportive culture). These three factors are essential in project success.
