The Wilberforce Journal of the Social Sciences (WJSS) is a bi-annually published by the Faculty of Social Sciences, Niger Delta University, Wilberforce Island, Bayelsa State, Nigeria. The journal publishes two issues in March and September every year. However, one special issue is also published between November and December. The journal addresses pertinent and current issues in society for the benefit of both the academic community and members of the society at large.

The main thrust of thrust of the journal is to published world articles emanating from original research, systematic reviews, meta-analysis, commentaries, and new perspectives from all fields of the social sciences such as Economics, Geography, Political Science, Sociology, Anthropology, Psychology and all other related disciplines. Generally, all articles go through a blind review process to ensure quality control in the publication process which is in line with international best practice in publication. On this note, authors are encouraged to prepare their manuscript in simple and clear sentences for clear communication to its readers.
