LAWRENCE UDISI
Abstract
Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area is the subject of the research which looks at the Feminization of Poverty and Sustainable Development in the area. A cross-sectional survey approach was used for this investigation. Five (5) settlements in the research region were chosen, using the purposive nonprobability selection method, and a total of one hundred and fifty (150) people were chosen using the simple random sampling technique. The Questionnaire was chosen as the primary tool for data collection and analysis. The research made use of both primary and secondary data sources. When analyzing the data collected from the administered surveys, a frequency distribution table was used in conjunction with a basic percentage calculation. In addition, the chi-square statistical tool was utilized to assess the connections between the hypotheses that were developed. The findings of the research offer empirical confirmation that the incidence of poverty in general, and the rate of poverty among women in particular, has increased dramatically in Kolokuma/Opokuma Local Government Area
