Abstract
This paper analyses the most significant causes, experience, and solutions to poverty that young people and NYSC members’ perceived to be the case. Whilst a descriptive approach was adopted engaging a meta-analysis of data from four previous empirical studies, the author draws heavily from literature and then isolated and analysed the relevant factors. This investigation highlighted a combination of significant causes, experiences and solutions. It revealed that each and every factor does make an impact in either causing poverty or contributing towards the experience and pointed to a solution.
