Abstract
This paper investigated the correlation between the discovery of oil and violent conflicts in the Niger Delta region. Using desk study, it affirmed the do mi at theme in the literature that blames conflict in the region on the effects of oil production and development neglect, but differs by noting that militant oil conflicts amount to terrorism.
